You know, no one ever explained what this Valentine's Day thing is to me and I feel kind of dumb asking. It's not like the mistletoe stuff again, is it?

Ah, well I don't mind explaining! I'm a preliminary scout an expert on the world with Holidays, after all.

Valentine's day is about love, romantic love. It's got hearts everywhere. Not real ones, mind, lots made of paper, but it still attracted lots of heartless there for obvious reasons, back in the day. Little naked baby angels were having a regular field day keeping the darkness out. Uh, so, so what you do on valentines is all about letting someone special know their special to you! Send them a card calling them your Valentine, or flowers or candies, or a singing telegram by yours truly!

So its a bitty bit like mistletoe, but there's not forced kissing, you're just expected to do it with a special person anyway, if you have one you like.

I suppose that I can understand the need for festivities, especially at this time of the year. But I think that perhaps meditation upon the Saint's Day will be the extent of my own involvement.
