This was so good. I don't normally comment on fics (tee hee annoying lurker with nothing useful to say) but I just wanted to on this one to make sure you update it :P Can't wait to read more.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Life has been insane lately. (I'm unemployed/planning a trip to another country/planning to move to another state.) But I do want to make the time to finish this.
Hey! I'm another lurker, but I thought I'd poke my head out to say that I really enjoyed this. Laurie's a character that I didn't feel too strongly about either way when I first read the book, but fanfics like this are really making me appreciate her a lot more--makes me want to go back and re-read it with more of a focus on her
( ... )
I find Laurie is a character that improves on multiple readings. When I first read the graphic novel I didn't like her very much, but now she's my second-favorite character. I'm also glad you liked how I wrote Veidt (who is actually for me a character I don't like much but started to appreciate more with the fanfics I read).
(And even though Laurie was unable to secure his help, there doesn't seem to be a clear "winner" in this scenario, which I liked.)
Hmmm. That actually hadn't occurred to me, but Veidt never does get that understanding from Laurie, does he?
This after the Roche case, right? Because I think you did a very good job subtly indicating how strained their relationship has become since then.
Thank you! Yes, this is after the Roche case. I enjoyed writing them. One thing I like about writing longer fanfics is it gives you a chance to explore beyond the main focus. The fic is less myopic that way.
Thanks again for the wonderful comment. I hope you keep reading.
Wow! I am not a Silk Spectre fan at all, but this fic is amazingly well-done. I never thought I could ever read a Laurie/Dan fic and appreciate it, but this fic is just...I don't even know to say, awesome. Everyone is so in character and the description is just so well-done.
This is so well done - blisteringly hot and everyone's perfectly in character. I love it to pieces, but this is the part that really won me over:
Adrian turned back in her direction with a graceful swoop, something that reminded Laurie of how her mother would act whenever a paparazzo came to take her picture.
PERFECTION.
I can't wait to see how you handle the rest of the pairings.
Thank you so much for your comment! (Which reminds me I need to comment on YOUR fanfics if I haven't already. Eeep! But they're so good!) I'm glad you enjoyed it.
