Even if that means waiting for more baby boomers to take their prejudice to the grave with them. That would be far from ideal, but my understanding is that the under-40 crowd is every bit as passionately on the side of gay marriage as the over-40 crowd is passionately against it.
It sure looks like a generational war to me. Most folks our age actually *know* gay couples and don't really see them as any different from hetero couples. Denying them the right to marry would be like refusing to let our hetero siblings and friends marry - staggeringly unreasonable and needlessly cruel (to say nothing of not being our damned place to decide). All we can do is keep the faith and keep up the fight.
