So, to add to the list of things I do, I now talk down to people.

... -me-.

Basically... I got fired. *pastes conversation, as it hurts too much to say it.*

And so it begins, and so it ends. )

redeem this empty life, justice screaming for solutions, to anyone out of the mainstream, past the three piece suits, making something out of nothing, to apathy to empathy to entropy, draw a line in the sand

Definitely go for the unemployment office on Monday.

Employers fire people for asinine reasons. Once I got fired because the boss's mother didn't like me. She came into the office four times on my first day and proclaimed each time that her son should have hired X and not me because X was prettier and he knew her. He fired me at the end of the day.

Another time, I got fired for leaving my work station when the building was on fire.

And here's something for your ex-bosses: Here's Your Sign

I will never understand the logic of "at will" employment. I'm sure there must be some reason for it... somewhere... but I just don't get it.

*hugs lots* Hang in there.

Lousy reasons to get fired suck anonymous September 29 2008, 01:40:04 UTC
I once got fired from a job because I found out my boss was having an affair.

I found out about the affair because the boss was out of town and the lover-not-spouse left voicemails on the boss's work voicemail account I was given the password to because I was supposed to be checking it for business reasons.

The boss returned from vacation and let me go with a "you don't fit well in this position" excuse that same day when I'd been doing the job (to high praise, I might add) for nearly 9 months.
