Crap

Just got back from my midterm -- you know, that test that I've been studying my butt off for the past week for? Yep. Save for the take-home essay, the majority of the test was passage identification, which can be very difficult if you're good with concepts, but not so much specific wording, like...oh, say, me.

I think I got most of them. But there ( Read more... )

I feel your pain. My midterm's are Monday. I've been running around like a headless chicken organizing my papers and rewriting notes when necessary. I've never had midterms before...

I don't know that you should worry too much about the check engine light, depending on how old your car is. My mom's check engine light has a tendency to come on whenever she puts in some less than a-grade gasoline, and then it goes away when she refills her tank. My check airbag light's been on for a couple months now, and the last mechanic I talked to said that it's possible the light fuse thingy has just gone bonkers. Who knows.

Oh, midterms are fun. They're really good for giving you a taste of what finals' week will be like, and whether or not you'll have to take an educational leave from your job or not (points to self, who is just coming down from the crazy).

Yeah, I called my dad and he said if my oil and water are fine, then it's probably just a sensor gone bad. We'll see. If I break down and have to start riding my bike everywhere, then it was something more important than that.

Life's fun when it's uncertain, isn't it? ^__^

Mucha suerte con tu midterms, chica. I'll cross my fingers for you. ^^

oh, just bunches. I've never had so much fun! *headdesk*

Well, I hope that it's just a funky sensor. (I'd die without my car. I live out in the middle of nowhere; it takes about a 15 minute drive to get into town.)

Thanks. I'll probably need it. I'll cross mine for you, as well. When do you get your results back? (If you were in a constant state of panic, you probably did better than you think. ;])

*points up* She's right. Wait until you've refueled again before freaking out.

Best of luck. There's always partial credit.

Partial credit would be nice. Anything to help. Seven points is a lot to lose on just one question.

And didn't you know that freaking out makes things okay? It's not freaking out that guarantees disaster. (or was it the other way around? /tongue in cheek)

You sound like MD who is her own worst critic.

You studied and took the test. There's no point in fretting until you get your score and then only worry so as to know what to study for next time.

That's pretty much what I've decided. If I think about it too much, my other work will suffer instead. I did what I could do, and we'll see. This prof will probably grade hard, but I'll work with what I can get.

I just wish I had a smidge more leeway on how much this test counts for in my final grade. Or maybe some extra credit in case we don't take tests well. I'd hate to ruin what stands as a decent GPA right now. Blah.

Que sera, sera.
