Beautiful... really, really detailed and with that feeling of 'reality' that's missing from so many fics. The whole thing about Conan writing a novel caught me by surprise, but you know, I can see that happening... Yeah, easily. And who wouldn't want to read a mystery novel written by someone who had solved so many himself?

Hmmm; want to play beta on WF22? It's not done, but I'll have about 3 or 4 thousand words by tomorrow, maybe more. I'm aiming to keep the next few chapters at 10,000 or so each this time... no more 25,000 word chapters! o__O

Realism is something I often strive for, seldom get, so it's a pleasure to hear that.

I thought Conan would be the logical choice to "take over" the Nightbaron series. It's often done in publishing - thinking Lord of the Rings, Pern.

I can't play beta until this weekend... I'm being slammed at work. If you can wait till Saturday, though?

Lovely. The darkness made it better, though not as squeeful to read, but better: it made their characters more complex, and their relationship multi-layered. Very nice.

Thanks - Conan is a really unusual series, because the whole TOPIC is dark (how many murders can there BE?) while still somehow targetting a younger audience.

So for the record? Abostluly love this chapter. Esepcaillly the whole part with Ran and Kaito... because I've actually been thinking about the fact that honestly in a completetly rendered relationship between the cannon pairings it could honestly end up like that... and you pulled it off so well that I had tears blurring my eyes by the time i reached aoko/kaito marriage... and even more when i reached ran/shinichi... i look verrry forward to the last one... absolutely love how you did it ^^

*g* I was wondering if anyone had noticed the Ran/Kaito. It seems like a possibility, although Kaito and Shinichi are very different personalities...
