*grins* I love FMA and it's very good to see that people I like are following it too. I enjoyed the fic - it seems like a plausible backstory for Roy, and being a rider myself, I loved the descriptions of his "wild rides". *grins*
Wow, finally a FMA fic I can appreciate. I love your depth and details on Roy's background on how he became the Flame Alchemist. Especially love your take how originally he did it for good and how it evolved to become suitable for a "dog of the military". Lovely fic.
This story is a couple months old, so I'm sure you're surprised to get new feedback on it. But it's new to me, so.
I really love this. Firstly, because of its concept. In the past I've discussed with my brother (also an avid fan of the show) how weird I think it is that they call Roy the "Flame Alchemist" when his area of expertise is actually the air.
I also like this because of the inherent tragedy of it, how Roy grows from being the boy who makes rain to the man who makes fire. I also like the idea of Roy having bucolic roots similar to the Elrics.
And I can just picture the fireworks show Roy put on for the Fuhrer.
The irony of the air is what really started this off. I like the idea of Roy being landed gentry, almost. Different than the Elrics, but... I suppose similar. And it is supposed to be a tragic piece... because to gain the position, he gave up everything.
