oh, this is cute! unexpectedly nice for Anko to invite the hardworking Hokage for a bit of a break with his weakness. nice, Anko! :D

i like that you used a first person POV for this as it works well with showing us that Anko knows her Hokage but she only knows more than what other people regard or perceive they know of the Hokage. :)

thank you for continuing to write for this 'verse. it was an enjoyable read. looking forward to the chuunin exams. ;)

I always thought the two would be awesome together - we know they both love sweets!

Anko is a heck of a lot of fun to write... it almost makes up for the drama that's coming up - it's the last real "light" part of this universe. *dangles teaser*

I enjoy reading things from Anko's POV. She has this openness, this candidness about her. And that makes her observations about Itachi fun to read.

It's a little sad that Itachi isn't loved by the villagers. He seems like a pretty good Hokage so far, if a little more aloof.

Still lovin' this verse!

Anko is honest. I think she's been lied to so often that she refuses to accept anything less... but it does give her a bit of flippancy.

Itachi is very different than Minato and Sandaime. Unlike them, he's an introvert and lacks a certain kind of charisma and charm.

Still working on this verse!

I've never read anything remotely Anko Itachi related but I like this. I really really do.

I always thought the two would be a heck of a lot of fun, if only for the sweets. Thanks!

Loved this line: "Aside from death and taxes, life's other certainty is humanity's incessant need to document death and taxes."

Anko's voice comes through so clearly here. She has a fantastic awareness of her own blind spots.

Also, I had no idea both her family name and given name had anything to do with dango until this fic. 0_0

*laughs* Thanks, I liked that line, too, because I think the truth in it is painful.

I'm glad to hear you like my Anko. She was so much fun to write. And yes, if you look up dango, Mitarashi is one of the more common ones. This is Kishimoto, after all; his names are usually ridiculous.

Whoa. Interesting both because I find your take on Anko very interesting, but also for the politics at the end of it.

Thanks!

The politics are important. This is the "before the sh*t hits the fan" fic... really the last part that's going to be this playful.
