I really like the way you're developing this story -- nothing is simple or easy, because nothing in this situation would be simple or easy. It's interesting to see Quinn's slow shift to considering Tina and Mercedes as potential friends, and the way Tina and Rachel both offer to open their homes to her if neccessary. I love that Quinn's computer-savvy enough to hack Jacob's blog, and that she's vindictive enough to get petty revenge on Sue at the same time via her choice of post topic.
It's also really interesting to see how much Kurt keeps to himself -- that Tina is surprised Quinn thinks he'll be a good father, and that Rachel thinks he'd pressure her into an abortion. Also, I like how Kurt is willing to at least listen to Will's explanation when Quinn asks him to, though he's obviously still massively pissed off. I do wonder what will happen now that Quinn is willing to forgive while Kurt isn't. That seems like an explosion waiting to happen... which makes sense. They're neither of them perfect, and I like how, even though

Thank you! Quinn was trained by Sue Sylvester herself, so she knows exactly what buttons to push to make someone else miserable, and likes to get the most bang for her buck. It amuses me that blog is now locked... a small part of me thinks she permanently took it out since Jacob can't get back in... (assuming he doesn't have some password recovery system...)
This is kind of challenging to write, characterization-wise, since it's still early in the first season. Kurt hasn't shown the Glee Club anything special, so they're very much seeing him through the lens of his stereotype.
As for what's next... well, you'll see in the next scene. I will say the Kurt/Quinn relationship is very much a pressure cooker.
The reason I selected Planned Parenthood (aside from it being a good entry organization for teens in this type of mess) is because of how associated it is with abortion. It's a logical conclusion for people to jump to.
I haven't had a chance to read the next part of Guardian yet, but I'll let you know what I think when I get

Interesting new developments. Kurt and Quinn are very different people, aren't they? I like how Kurt listens to Quinn and hears Mr Schue out instead of just walking off. Love how Quinn got her revenge on Jewfro and Sue at the same time. No one's perfect here, but they all try their best. Tina and Rachel offering their homes to Quinn is especially good, considering that they were Kurt's friends first. I wonder whether Mercedes, being so firmly in Kurt's camp, made the same assumption about the 'abortion'? And if so, did she confront Kurt about it when she talked to him alone?
Kurt and Quinn are very different, and their value systems mesh and clash in weird kinds of ways. They have two major things in common: belief/confidence in themselves, and a strong sense of family. But yeah, not much in common.
No one's perfect here, but they all try their best.
I think I'd call that the tagline of this story. It's a mess, but no one is being intentionally evil. It's just there's so many non-compatible goals.
Tina isn't a close friend of Kurt's (right now we're about where episode six/seven were, timeline-wise), and Rachel isn't a friend of Kurt's.
And I think Mercedes wouldn't have thought abortion, since she knows Kurt better. I don't think Kurt is confiding much in her - he's not really confiding in anyone, which is not a good thing - but she knows how much Kurt wants this child.
IDK how I missed the previous chapter, but I did and just caught up with chapters 9 and 10, so sorry! Great though! I'm really liking this, especially chapter 10. Nothing is ever simple and you show that so well. Everyone is so well written and everything ties together so smoothly, it's great! I can't wait for more from this unlikely couple!
This chapter pinged so many feelings and reactions from me. SO MANY.
1. I love how you mentioned reproductive coercion. It's a serious issue that people aren't always fully aware of, even though they'll admit that they can imagine a man pressuring a woman to get an abortion/sabotaging a woman's birth control methods to get her pregnant. 1a. Even though everybody was perfectly in-character, especially Rachel, the anti-abortion undertones made me flail. It's nothing against your story; I just see it so often in real life that seeing it again in fiction upset me, if that makes sense.
2. Schuester: oh god, I felt so bad for him. You were really able to get across the devastation that he's feeling right now. I love that you didn't actually put his explanation of Terri's actions in dialogue format, instead glossing over the details; the reader's imagination could capture the somberness of the moment

That's good, right? It means the story is engaging you, I hope?

I think this is a natural assumption people would come to in this situation. Quinn's known for being incredibly religious in school, so that means of court the gay kid would want her to "fix" things. The complication comes from the fact that people really don't get who Kurt is. They see him as the stereotype.

4. QUINN+TINA FRIENDSHIP. ♥♥♥ all for this. (I love this small divergence from canon, where instead of leaning on Mercedes, Quinn is beginning to bond with Tina due to Kurt's involvement in the situation.)
I am all for this, too. I have no clue where it came from, but it really works for me.
5. Kurt and Quinn characterization: FABULOUS.
Thank you! <3
It was interesting to see how other characters viewed Kurt's personality and how those traits actually appeared in the story, especially in the sort of assumptions people make and how they're both proven right and wrong simultaneously. For example, Kurt is vicious (the Spanish class scene here made me cringe), but because Rachel and Tina assume they know what he wants, they apply that viciousness to him in a less-than-flattering light.I love the fact that no one really gets who Kurt is. They see him as the stereotype, or are inclined to think the worst of him. The viciousness, for example, is his version of being protective. He can't fight people physically, but he has his words

Oh dear, did I write a bullet point essay and not actually say the most important part? A resounding yes: I find this story incredibly engaging and good. I really love your characterizations of Kurt and Quinn, and I feel invested in their story. Even when I think on one level that I sort of can figure out what's going to happen, at the same time I really don't have any idea how this will ultimately play out. I know it's going to be a long and hard journey and that, probably, there'll be a somewhat bittersweet and somewhat pure happiness for both of them (unless something tragic occurs), but I don't know how that will crystallize in their lives. I'm just really excited to be able to witness the path and story that you've put them on, and every update is this glimpse into a startlingly realistic world.
I...am possibly in love with this story. I very nearly didn't read it because any fic where Kurt is paired with a girl is an instant turn-off for me, but this is just amazing. ♥
I love how you portray the complicated relationship between Kurt and Quinn; your characterisation of both of them is absolutely fantastic and completely spot-on. It fits perfectly that Kurt would be this fierce about wanting to keep the baby -- and Quinn's observation about Kurt being more dangerous than any other teenage boy was so accurate I had to pause for a second to fully process it.
Thank you! I don't think of this as a shipper fic so much as a dramatic exploration.... ^^;; I'm not sure if that makes sense, but this isn't meant to be romantic in the traditional sense.
I'm glad you like how the two play off each other. They're both very strong personalities, so the complications are unavoidable. Kurt is very dangerous, because he's ruthless. He'll cut off his nose to spite his face.
