I really, really liked the fleshed-out relationship between Sarutobi and Danzo here, the snatches of shared history and the bitterness/resentment of a divided ideology. And that was weird, because usually your Itachi seizes my attention like a mofo and doesn't let go for the duration of the segment, but here he was almost an...afterthought. Good thing too, because Danzo's head is endlessly fascinating and he never seems like the type to fixate on one person specifically. His aggregation of clan traits was spectacular.

This series consistently updates my headcanon for half these characters and I LOVE it. As you could probably tell from that conversation about the title, I'm always craving good Danzo fic. Am now appeased :) Thanks!

Also, unrelated: I'm totally saving your Glee!fic for when I've, you know, finished the series. Quinn is my favorite so far, so I'll be going to town on that WIP when I'm done :)

Danzou doesn't really focus on Itachi the way most of the other narrators have. I hope that doesn't make Itachi boring... but for Danzou, it's all about Sandaime. And the way he's never forgiven himself and is transferring the blame.

I'm glad I'm adding to your headcanon. ^_^ The next fic I have planned (heaven knows if it'll be the next fic released) probably will just traumatize you in an "OMG you REALLY shouldn't do that" kind of way.

No, trust me, what makes bystander!fic so great is that the main characters are never the focus. You really have a skill for it; not many writers I know pull it off and make it believable. This is really becoming a fic about Konoha and the shinobi-verse and not so much about Itachi...and that's the best kind. /jealous

The most headcanon...y...was Mikoto's, I must admit (although I think I was a whore and didn't leave a note). I'm not able to think of her any other way now. PLEASE TRAUMATIZE, OH GOD. I want to read interesting, original takes on these characters so much. (Actually, you know who my no.1 hope to see in this 'verse is, although it wouldn't make any sense? MADARA...)

I was forced by housemates, and am glad of it! So I'm waiting until I finish season one...THIS IS GOOD, THOUGH, since Kurt is probably one of the most likeable characters I've seen in a TV series.

Thank you for the compliment. I have a tendency to love exploring the limitations of POV, which is what this fic series is all about. Itachi is at the core of this series, but he's just one player. I call it a "jigsaw" fic because things start making sense the more you read.

I'm not saying no to Madara. It's inevitable he'll turn up, but I'm not sure how or if he'll be the POV character.

Kurt is likable, but he's got his moments when he's horrible, too. So I'm fascinated by him.
