Mmhmmm. It's probably not letting the cat--heh--out of the bag at this point to say that I suspect Shinako of being the library god. Perhaps one who has lost knowledge of her divine nature.

Haku's "ascension" to a newfound deity-hood was beautiful. The similarities and differences inherent in the "Internet as river" metaphor are all kinds of fun in symbolism. Also, the next bunch of scriptkiddies out for a Denial of Service bot attack may get a very *bad* surprise now that Haku has claimed the Net as his domain. Dragons are so territorial.

The idea of Haku as the Internet God was one of the driving forces in writing this fic. There's a line in a Spirited Away song that states "there are no gods in electric things" or something to that effect, and we decided to play with the concept. Mentions along those lines are woven through the fic (yay foreshadowing). I will say there's still some fic left to explore his reaction to his new territory/domain. Glad you're enjoying this.
