I'm totally fangirlling Itachi in this verse. I love how he's smart enough to know exactly what to say at the exact right moment.

I think he put a lot of thought into this - and got fed up with Kakashi's tardiness. Unlike Sandaime, he can't afford to have anyone disrespect him, especially someone like Kakashi.

First impressions were all that mattered, since making a mistake could end up in a sudden case of dead. So Kakashi came to a conclusion quickly.

He made the decision not to decide. He would wait and see what Itachi came up with.

Loved this part especially. I like how a lot of complicated parts are captured here, from Kakashi's reserve to the other nin wanting his opinion to Itachi's mentioning Obito. Nice work; loving this AU more and more.

Itachi really isn't that large, even as an adult - he's got a very light build. I think he's a bit older than that pic which is SO CUTE - but not into his full growth.
