Author’s Notes: This is the second to our little *ahem* project. The story below is not connected to the previous one and is a figment of my overly fangirly mind. It will be a first for me to write comedy for these two; I hope I did fine. Enjoy, ne?
Disclaimers: All the people used in the story are real and have their own lives. Whatever is written below is just a figment of my overactive imagination. Only the plot is mine.

Time Limit.
Konnichiwa. You have reached Saitoh Takumi’s phone. He can’t come to the phone right now. Please leave your name, contact number and a brief message after the beep. He will return your call as soon as he gets back. Thank you.
BEEP.
Takumi-kun? It’s me.
Ara… still out, ne? You’ve been really busy these past few days. I guess Takuya was right when he said that you were barely at home. You’re always at a shoot or at a live event. Do you ever-
BEEP.
Hehe. An answering machine with a time limit for leaving messages - now that’s something! But, Takumi-kun, that’s not friendly! What if I want to tell you about how my day went? That will take at least a few-
BEEP.
You’ve got a very rude answering machine, Takumi-kun.
Anyway, why did I call? Oh! You need to get some rest. If by the time I talk to Takuya or Kazuki-san again and you’re still too busy to take care of yourself, I am going to personally make sure that you get some-
BEEP.
TA. KU. MI. KUUUN!!!
Bah! Next time I see you, I will drag you out of the house and make sure you buy a new answering machine. One that hasn’t got any time limit when it comes to leaving me-
BEEP.
Oh, screw it! After this taping, I’m coming right over!

Laughter escapes Saitoh’s lips as he rewinds all five messages for the third time since he first played it. It amuses him much; Aiba’s concern for his health is quickly replaced by the frustration of having his messages interrupted. It isn’t his fault, though. He clearly remembers mentioning that the messages should be brief.
He has an inkling that Aiba skipped listening to his opening message.
Aiba is quick to reprimand him-Stop rewinding your answering machine, Takumi-kun-as he alights from Saitoh’s kitchen. There is a bowl of popcorn on one hand and a large bottle of water in the other. Saitoh rises from his seat, briefly wondering where the dancer got the popcorn kernels. He is sure that his cupboards are empty.
No glasses, he asks.
I only have two hands, Takumi-kun, the Fuji actor tells him, setting the bowl of popcorn between them. Besides-he says-we can drink from the bottle, can’t we?
The Oshitari actor grins, a sly glint on in his eyes. While keeping his eyes glued to Aiba’s, he opens the water bottle and slowly sips some of its contents. He licks off the water trailing down from the bottle’s brim before completely parting with it. He watches Aiba’s gaze follow his movements as he puts the bottle down on the center table.
Aiba picks it up-Indirect kiss?
Saitoh suppressed the urge to grin from ear to ear-If you want it more than the direct one-and shrugs.
The younger of the two sets the bottle down again before delivering the first of several punches on Saitoh’s arm. After this mini fight, the latter thinks, he will tell Aiba that shouting-Baka, Takumi-kun!!-and blushing deep pink do not make a believable argument. Aiba is good, he observes, but he is but a student when it comes to boxing.
Saitoh catches both of Aiba’s fists and pulls him close enough to place a light kiss on the latter’s lips-completely stopping the dancer’s movements. He steals a glance at the answering machine before closing his eyes to deepen their kiss.
Some time later-when the popcorn and movie remain untouched and forgotten, when Aiba is already sleeping peacefully in his arms-he will reset his answering and do a little tweaking.
Perhaps, reduce the time limit to two minutes…?
