More than Luck
They were opposite sides of the thermometer. He was in the cool part while the other was constantly above boiling point. He was a cool spring breeze, the other a hot summer wind. He believed in luck, the other simply rejected that it existed.
And yet despite these world-apart differences, they met and formed a bond. Perhaps the bond was a result of Sengoku’s persistence and/or Muromachi’s inability to reject the other guy. Whatever it was, it brought them together and that was what was important.
For it were more than all those opposing ideals and attitudes. It was even more than persistence and irresistibility. And even Sengoku would have to admit that it was more than coincidence, more than sheer luck, that had brought them together and was keeping them together still.
He squeezed Muromachi’s hand and looked into those eyes.
More than luck, indeed.
