Driving a Non-Prius Hybrid

So, alatheaseeker and I purchased a Honda Civic Hybrid. So, since I've been a little behind on LJ updating, I've decided to use this post to keep track of our miles per gallon (mpg) for each tank of fuel purchased.  I'll admit up front that I'm skeptical about our salesman's claims.  We'll find out.  For the record, the EPA lists our car at 40/45/42 (city/hwy/ ( Read more... )

How old is it? Brand new or a couple years?

dr4b had a Civic Hybrid that she got back in 2004. We drove it down to California for a trip and I seem to remember it doing rather well at that.

That said, I've yet to see any hybrids that actually match the EPA claims... Or actually any cars, period.

I had a Civic of my own, manual transmission, that wasn't significantly worse in the efficiency department.
