There goes the neighborhood

I am currently sitting at the Satellite Cafe in Albuquerque’s “Nob Hill” district-about a mile-long stretch of Route 66 that runs from the intersection of Carlisle and Central to right around where the University of New Mexico starts. Obviously, I haven't been exploring Central/Nob Hill nearly as long as you have, but I love it just as much. I enjoy shopping at Urban Outfitters, but it couldn't be more out of place along with those stupid outrageously prices apt.'s. I love the hippy, the homeless, and the bohemian scene and I pray to God that it doesn't leave just because a corporation is coming in. If it does, that day will be a very sad day.
