i feel as though plenty give a shit about voting--much more than the last election, including younger voters. heck, i was excited to go. at least it applies around here, since ohio is a "battleground" state. i went with my dad when the polls opened at 6:30 and there was already a long line waiting. he said he's never seen such a turnout (especially at such an early hour).
this is positive. even though its very possible that ohio will go to bush.
i just hope i get out of work early enough tonight to catch coverage on tv before anything is resolved.
I live in VA, and everyone I meet who turned 18 this year seemed to think it didn't matter as well as some older (20+) people who would go, oh I'm going to vote because I've got nothing else to do or they just don't seem to care about why or why they're not voting. my sisters aren't voting (they're 25 and 31) because they said they really don't care... so I dunno. this whole town is a pit so maybe that's why everyone sucks. I would have been excited too!
