There have been some new monsters showing up, and since they're from where me and Dawn are from, I think it's... my job? to tell everyone about them and how they're dangerous ( Read more... )

They just showed up a little while ago, but like I said, the ones here are really dangerous. Pokemon can be dangerous in the wild, and Ryu already got attacked by the Scythers in the forest - and I know Kabutops is not a friendly Pokemon, either.

At least not in the wild...

I think you have much less than us to worry about, mister Johnny. Especially because I don't know if Kabutops would ... think you're food. I don't know - Dawn might, though. I mostly know about Pokemon from the battling part of it, since that's what I really liked back home.

Not unless we got some Pokeballs, and I don't think these ones would be easy, especially because we don't have anything here like we would in Sinnoh - no Pokemarts or Berries or anything like that...

Can't you just catch one like getting a direwolve puppy? Why do they have to go into the little balls? That can't be really comfortable for them.

Well, I mean - you could, but without the balls, there's no way to keep them contained, and if they're not loyal to you, if they don't want to work with you, well...

Xion, I wouldn't want to be left alone with a Scyther that might not even want to be around me. And even if you could get a young one and train it, Pokeballs keep them safe, and it's... I guess you COULD do it without them, but it'd be really dangerous.

Yeah - they're Pokemon, too. Dangerous ones, but ones that can be caught and trained.
