We have had some surprises with the zucchini.

I'm not very good at keeping track of log books, and it looks like I'll need a reliable log for my garden this year.  Hence, this journal.
It's at a new house, and as far as I know the soil has never been gardened before.  I'm sending the soil in for testing tomorrow, but I've already planted a few things.   Though, I think I should start the story ( Read more... )

My apartment was robbed on Sunday. It seemed like a weird case. The person kicked in the door. This is a deadbolted solid wood door, it would take multiple people or crazy-high-on-something kind of strength to break it. I bottled and tried my first homemade wine this weekend. Not so good. It was suppose to be an apple wine, made from fruit juice concentrates. It came out closer to an apple brandy with a slight sulfur undertone. I used a sulfur solution to sterilize the equipment, as my reference book recommended.
