He could just kill her here. And it would be so easy.
Hand up, broken skin across the forehead yielding blood, see the life slowly fade out.
It was tempting. Kill her, take her power, forget about her. Doing what he's done before. But even more tempting was this sudden urge to fix her so she no's longer broken. Broken like him. Maybe even more so.
When he does, it's even more tempting not to pull her body to his and finally kiss her, see if she tastes like peaches.
But for now, she's healed and maybe he is too.
