Title: Hunter and Prey
Pairing: Gabriel (Sylar)/Elle

Summary: Gabriel and Elle go on a search for answers but trouble keeps interrupting.
Warnings/Spoilers: Spoilers for the end of Volume 3 and spoilers for Volume 4 episodes eventually.
A/N: Sequel to 12 Months of Sylar and Elle. So the story might make a little bit more sense if you read that first. I make no promises as to how this fic will go and for how long because I'm better at one shots but I was just itching to work Elle into Volume 4 stuff.
Prologue
In the aftermath of Primatech's destruction, Gabriel and Elle lay low in their apartment with Kent. Plans of action to bring down Pinehearst and Arthur Petrelli are drawn, discussed, and discarded. None of them felt right. Arthur Petrelli is an extremely cunning man and could no doubt be ready for anything they had for him.
It is in the midst of this planning word comes that Arthur Petrelli had been shot and killed. Thanks to Kent's ability, he was able to tap into the Petrelli's computer network and have their files sent to his computer. It wasn't surprising that there was no news coverage on his death. After all, Arthur Petrelli had been declared dead two years ago. The only thing surprising was that his death had been at the hands of Peter.
Gabriel isn't sure whether to feel relief or frustration at Arthur's death. He was sure the man knew a thing or two about his real parents but he couldn't interrogate him about that now.
"Gabriel, we have Google remember? Why don't we have him look up your adopted dad?" Elle reminds him. "We find him, maybe we can get some answers."
Gabriel shakes his head in disbelief and laughs. Of all the solutions in the world, the simplest exists right here in his home. Kent quickly locates Martin Gray in Baltimore, Maryland and the makeshift family make plans to go see him.
It is while Gabriel is visiting Martin Gray's watch shop that he gets a frantic phone call from Elle.
"Gabriel! I need your help," her voice is frantic and he could hear her breathing hard.
"What's going on? You know I'm busy right now." His voice is impatient.
"Kent. He's been taken by some guys in commando outfits."
