The females: easy, I'm not voting for either Emma, so bye bye, Poppy. The men: ANGST CENTRAL. I've vacillated between George and Christopher Plummer for too long. I'm gonna have to flip a coin or something... *wibbles*
And aww, I'm sorry to hear about the fight with Jen. *squish* At least you guys aren't still at odds, that's what counts. ^_^ Hopefully whatever it was about doesn't rear its ugly head again. *fingers crossed*
I'm sad to see any of them go! I've had the longest history with Poppy...since 2004? I was obsessed over her for a long time, and had a binder full of her magazine clippings plus an A&F poster and a magazine that cost 30 bucks to ship from Australia. Oh, speaking of, I just got your card! Thank you!!!! I love it!
Jen and I do fight a lot, well, I wouldn't say fight, but argue. And it's healthy and normal. Our relationship is not easy at all, and we often have to work hard at it. But, in the end, it's the most fulfilling relationship ever (even if she is my first and only).
Yay, I'm glad the card made it to you safely! And if you need anything shipped from Australia, just let me know, I'll try and track it down for you. ^_~
It's great that you're so matter-of-fact about having to work hard at maintaining a relationship. So many people expect it to just magically happen. *eyeroll* Without any effort at all! As long as you're happy and fulfilled, it doesn't matter if you argue a lot (heck, some people find it entertaining, lol, bit of spice in the relationship), although the fact that you said you didn't resolve this thing might mean it crops up again later. But if you've both put it behind you, then maybe that's for the best. *squish*
It was actually a magazine called "Black & White". I don't know if you guys still have it anymore? You should though, I think. But thank you for that offer! And same here to you as well!
Yeah, I agree with you. It's magical, but not in the fairy-tale sense that everyone seems to believe that I know of thanks to novels and movies. Given such an age difference, our methodologies of approaching things, or how we perceive things are sometimes drastically different. And, the ways we were brought up add to that etc etc. But, this wasn't the case, as I was the idiot one. So, it is my fault, and we've resolved it. *huggles*
You know, prior until your poll here, I didn't realize how damn attractive Christopher Plummer was when he was younger. But hot damn. He was attractive.
I mean, I saw Sound of Music when I was a kid, but it must have been before I could fully appreciate an attractive man. Because seriously, I do NOT recall someone quite so attractive being in it. Unf.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT MY DIANE How can people not love her. PS, you should watch Unfaithful with her (and Richard Gere and Olivier Martinez), she's delicious in it. Hm, I have Must Love Dogs in my DVD collection but tbh I can't remember anything of the movie except that it has Diane. Oooooh, and The Glass House! That's a wonderful one. She's so pretty and evil in it. :D I loves it.
Would you like to share what you and Jen argued about, honey?
I have seen Must Love Dogs!!! And I would watch Nights and Rodanthe for her and her only. DNW Richard Gere. Thanks for all the recs! I know what I'll be doing over Christmas break!
And I'm soooooo sorry to hear about your fight! It happens to everyone, of course, but it's agonizing all the same. I'm sure you'll resolve it, but best of luck and let me know if there's anything I can do to help! <3333 *hugs*
