Makes me think twice about watching this movie, really. I won tickets to a premiere showing on Monday, Nov 15, and I am now having serious doubts as to how badly I want to watch it. :(
I'm still excited about it. They have given us a few nice glimpses of some H/G although I am fairly certain they will muck it up and I'll be angry when it's over. Someone (maybe St. M.) has said that she approaches the movies as fanfic thus lowering expectations when it does not deliver.
It is disturbing to me that the director's favorite scene was one not in the book. He said that it was very divisive - some people loved it, others hated it.
So you've got tickets for Monday. You'll be the first that can give us a review! I'm going to the midnight showing on Thursday. After much discussion, my 16 year old son has deemed that it won't be too embarrassing for me to be in the same theater as he is.
for Hermione's sake as harry's friend i give a link to people who actually seen this "feared" scene starnightmuseNovember 17 2010, 18:29:02 UTC
Both of Them Are HUGE Die-Hard Ron/Hermione shippers, and both of them though the "harry/hermione "dance" scene, was a nice, bittersweet Friendship moment.
Movie Hermione and Harry have always had a lot of chemistry. As an H/G shipper I was a little jealous when I heard about the dance on the premiere footage, but I'm not worried. Harry and Hermione go through a lot of bleak stuff while camping without Ron. I'm glad that they have a moment of joy to relieve that.
