Does anyone else ever read a particularly angsty fic backwards, or is it just me?

I tend to avoid particularly angsty fics, to tell the truth, but if I happen upon one, I've been known to skip to the end to make sure there's a happy ending before I continue.

If I find stuff angsty I will sometimes check the ending first to be sure it'll end okay, but don't read backwards and sometimes will just go with the flow & wait to see what the end brings. One of the my favourite fics I've read killed off the two main characters and it was horribly sad and yet perfect as well.

I don't read backwards, but I check the end to make sure my favorite characters are still alive before investing a lot of time in it...

If I get the feeling that a story is going to be an unrelenting Agnst-fest, then yes I read it backwards.
