It had taken her a while to get ready, finally just tossing on some ordinary clothes. It wasn't a date. Lily had been reminding herself all morning. And every day. For the past week. It was just James apologising for stupid words that had passed between them during the last virus. But would it have been so horrible if he had asked her to go with him as a date? The answer, whatever it was, was quashed quickly. It wasn't a date. She had insisted this to her friends, who didn't quite look like they believed her. Still, Lily had told her friends that they wouldn't have to worry about meeting up with her at all. Not until they got back to the castle.

Lily grabbed up her coat, money bag, scarf, and hat and put them on as she headed downstairs. When she got down to the Entrance Hall, James was waiting there for her. She smiled at him and stopped at the bottom.

"Ready to go?"

James saw her so beautifully and did his best not to stare as he nodded. "Ready if you are." He even held out his arm for her like a gentleman before leading them down the path to the village.

"So do you want to go to the Three Broomsticks first or would you prefer somewhere else?" He decided it would be better to let her decide as she was the one getting the treat and the apology.

She took his arm and walked with James, side-by-side.

"The Three Broomsticks is fine. We can warm up there and then I have a couple shops to visit... unless you had other plans?"
