X-Ray

This is my left knee. I have zero experience reading X-Rays, so all I can say about this is: "looks cool-now what's wrong with it?" The check-in lady decided to it would be better to stick me in a wheelchair than make me walk all over the damn hospital with my brace on. That was awesome ( Read more... )

I read somewhere that the space between the femur and the tibia/fibula is supposed to be even. Mine looks like the meniscus cartilage is all worn down or something.

Thanks. I need all the luck I can get.

Oh dear, I do hope you get some good help soon. I had a fantastic orthopedic surgeon and I always found it amusing on how he could spot the changes in my x-rays over the years while they all looked the same to me XD
My boyfriend had to have surgery for his torn ACL, on both knees actually, and for the most part he is doing alright now so I it goes well for you.

BioFreeze is another nice little pain relief gel...its good shit.

Thanks. I've never actually gotten a chance to look at my own X-Rays closely before. It was really incredible how the tech took the films and they were available in the time it took her to reset the room and wheel me down to the pick-up window.

I use BioFreeze a lot. Whoever invented that shit needs a commendation or award or something. Seriously.

I thought it was really neat to look at mine as well. But they didn't use film, my Ortho had this big robot looking machine...actually the longer I think about it, it kind of looks like Dummy, only bigger and no claw XD But you stick your leg on this pad and it comes up instantly on a screen. They always printed them out for me though so I could have them.

All hail BioFreeze! My mother couldn't understood why I paid ten bucks a tube when I could have just bought IcyHot for 4...compared to to BioFreeze it does nothing.

Sheez. My dad had bad knee problems (carpenter, some 30+ years of repetitive stress. I can only imagine how much of a pain that is. Saying a prayer for you!
