Robert A. Heinlein is quoted as saying, "An armed society is a polite society." Here in Texas, people tend to just nod and smile at each other. Yet, no matter where you go, there'll always be some asshole there waiting for you. Can't legislate them away.

I'm glad you're okay.

Thanks... And you're right. There is no way you can make these sort of people stop doing that sort of rude thing. It's human nature.

I learned how to drive on the highway while visiting my folks in Salado. I drove to Holland in my Poppy's huge GMC truck on the back roads, too. The best thing about Central Texas are those back roads-my Uncle took me for a drive in his Sky Roadster and went 90 down those roads. I miss Texas.

And I'm a moron for not going with my parents on their road trip to Salado.

It really is. The last time we did that, I read a book out loud on each day it took us to drive there.

I was so hoarse by the end of it that my throat went numb.

You just reminded me exactly why I didn't want to go in the first place. I hate sitting in the car like that.

I know. Especially Virginia drivers. And I'm allowed to say that because I'm licensed to drive by the Virginia DMV.

her medical bills (chiropractors mainly)

I fricking hate chiropractors. They always submit the most outrageously inflated bills and *shocker* their clients never seem to get any better.

I hope you hired a good lawyer who will beat the crap out of her (figuratively of course.)

I know. Our lawyer (thank you, Geico) showed us copies of the documents that her lawyer sent over as evidence... So I got to see the bogus claims firsthand (most of them were dated recently).
I even got to see the so called "damage" done to her SUV. My engine wouldn't turn over after the wreck and she's complaining about a rubber thingy that goes on top of the bumper and a few easily fixable dings?

Bitch.

Personally, I think she lost all rights to freaking sue me when she said "no" to medical assistance on scene. Insurance takes care of the auto damage no problem...

*HULK SMASH*
I'm getting even madder just thinking about it... But at least I don't have to mess with anything-Geico is working out a settlement (still). And my lawyer knows how to talk people into stuff. I like her.

Ouch. I hope the bicycle guy is alright. I hope the guy behind you was going to the hospital to meet his wife who was in labor or something. Jeez.
