Sounds like you had a great time. So you two finally got to meet in the flesh huh? That must've been awesome. It's easy to forget sometimes that there are a lot of close friendships that have been made on LJ where people haven't actually physically met.

There's a heap of goss on tumblr about the con, the saddest was that Jared told people in his MG that he sees a LOT of the online hate directed toward both him and Gen and confessed how much it hurts. It broke my heart when I read about it. However, some lovely ladies on tumblr and twitter are organising #jaredloveday for the 27th where they're encouraging fans to make posts and tweets using that hashtag to show him how loved he his. I think it's a fab idea. Although poor Gen should get some love too, I think she's wonderful.

:(((( I'm feel tired just seeing that the haters are still attacking a man who has nothing to do with them and the man's wife who has nothing to do with them, either. It's been years and they are still interested in this unproductive activity? Don't they have something better to do? Jared doesn't deserve any of this.

Baffles the mind, doesn't it? NO ONE would like to be treated that way, celebrity or no. Whatever happened to the Golden Rule? Has modern man outgrown empathy? Is the internet making assholes of all of us? Best thing we can do is lead by example, I guess!

It's bad enough that people are hateful, it's worse to think he and Gen actually see even a small portion of that venom. These people are liars, cowards and bullies of the worst kind, hiding behind the veil of anonymity to spew their nastiness. I despise them.

It was like Monica and I had known each other forever. We fell right into step. SO COOL, she is! I just wish we lived closer together. Hell, there are at least ten people I wish lived within, say, a two hour drive! (You included. We could have amazing fan meet-ups.) But oh well, right? Guess we've got to satisfy ourselves on-line. SIGH.
