I love the contrast with the one streak of red, and the blotchiness of the greys and spots of black gives it a really somber feel.

Plus the white (which seems almost glaringly bright in comparison) all around him makes me think of Heaven - appropriate.

Absolutely gorgeous use of watercolors. I love the depth of color in the seemingly mostly monochromatic color scheme. It's lovely how intense the red is yet how it's still carried throughout the piece and you so wonderfully captured the emotions here!
