This turned out a little angstier than I think the giftee envisioned so I hope it passes muster. I daringly used no ref, except on the shotgun. (What was I thinking?) Anywho, it's based on this request:

I love the combination of peaceful and battered. And somehow I adore that they are both wearing socks, and slouchy socks at that. It gives them that slightly rundown yet cozy and domestic vibe.

The socks were A MUST. Rough hunt, crappy hotel, post-showers, not quite dressed yet. And toes are kind of a nuisance to draw. (Okay, I cheat!) I had fun with the socks, though; I did!

I should show you the original drawing; it's so mucky and erased all to hell, I'd have been better served to get reference! BELIEVE ME. In fact, check it.

I kinda loved the socks, too, and Dean's look of concentration; braiding is serious business!

LOL, your "rough" is still 100% better than the majority of my finished stuff! And while I love Dean's softer, more caring expression in the finished version, I'm rather taken with his kinda snarky expression in the rough. And oh, those muscles!!

As much as I hate seeing the Winchesters beaten up, I do love the schmoopy sweet moments like this that happen after. Wonderful artwork! <3

BAH. "Genius." This took far longer than it should've. 'Fast' is not in my repertoire. (But I liked their socks. Socks are awesome, and they hide toes.)
