I chose amberdreams's delicious summary for this year's sammybigbang, and it turned out to be a really cool fic! Believable, angsty, and yet tender and just a little bit melancholy. (And kinda hot too, so...) Great original characters, touch of Americana, good stuff all 'round! A really satisfyng read.

Oh, wow, lady. I was so impressed by the banner, because what a clever idea to put the title on the hotel, and the southwesty atmosphere is so vivid and real it's palpable, and then I saw the other picture, and the emotion, the tenderness, the accuracy of the human figure, the subtlety of Sam's bruising ... just wow. You are amazing. Soo, so talented.

Oh, awesomeness! I read the fic last night and totally blanked out on the art part. I'm happy I found my way here, now! The banner is gorgeous, I love your color scheme, especially that reddish gray and the motel sign, and then you put in Sam's subconscious try of finding safety in the Impala, too. Broke my heart a little, that one.

The scene illustration is adorable. Hot, yes, definitely, but also incredibly intimate despite not being overly explicit, and a little sad, too! All those bruises on poor Sam, and Dean looks like he just wants to crawl inside of Sam and never let him go again. Hurt and protective boys are my absolute favorite, I frickin' love it!
