One word: John. (This story is pretty hard on John, but it's a complete AU. I don't see it with a whole lot of relationship to the John we know on the show.) I have a LOT of sympathy for the show's John, btw! Just a forewarning if you read the fic...

Aha! Ok then, no problem. There are not many fics that are willing to give John much sympathy so I'm inured to it now, even though personally I like him. In of the school of thought that he was in a tough spot, doing the best he could.

These are gorgeous! I loved how you de-aged all three characters (it's not that often you see younger Benny and you did an awesome job); Sam is yummy with that scowl and Dean with his freckles.

The banner is wonderful, I love how you used the cut out of the bird, and how you've positioned all the portraits.

Younger Benny was a bit of a challenge, because the actor was quite stout in his earlier days and I Benny wasn't in this story. It was fun! And thank you, lovely!
