I so appreciated this acknowledgement of what Sam must have suffered to end up in that sling, and that Dean came to know it, too.

Yeah, me too. I mean, I get that this season is about Dean and Cas a lot, about their respective character arcs--and the bitter Sam!girl in me misses Sam's story and POV, as per usual--so I'll probably be more Sam-centric than usual, ha!

We're still not getting much of a peek inside Sam's mind, even if the plots revolve around the others...why they could do it with Dean and not Sam, in previous seasons, will always baffle me. Ah well! Vive le fanworks!

Yanno, B, this means A LOT! I worried I was being too hard on Dean and a little too understanding with Sam (which might still be the truth.) I just wanted to get into Dean's guilt a little, give him a chance to vent it and air it out, but still be true to his curmudgeonly care-giver addiction. :) Thank you, lady!

This is awesome. Great Dean!voice, and I particularly liked how you showed how polite and careful they are with each other, before they finally get back to the stage where they can tease each other because they're good.

So this year I decided to take part in insmallpackages and I thought why not throw in a little hurt/sick Sam fic request with a bittersweet feel (because I can't get enough of those!) And this is what I get!?! I sure must have been a very very good girl last year ;)

This was perfect in every way and so much more than I ever expected or hoped for! It has all my favourite Winchester flavours; hurt, weary, worn down, but together.

I loved how you captured Dean's head space, and all the yummy imagery of Sam passing out on Dean's bed with the sling, the details of the now infamous sling injury, Dean carefully helping Sam change, and the missing tattoo. So many treats!

You filled the missing scene beautifully. Thank you so much for granting my wish, and taking it where you did, I sure am a lucky girl!!!
