[Phoenix can't help but notice the jovial guy sitting all by his lonesome, and decides, oh, what the hell, it couldn't hurt to talk. He walks over, his Wooper and Sentret close behind him.]

...y'know, you might be the most cheerful person I've seen here so far.

[Jack had folded his arms behind his head and leaned back against the tree by now. Noticing Phoenix's footfalls, he glances up and breaks into a broad, crooked grin.]

Hello! Well, I haven't met many folks, so I don't have a very good idea of what everybody else is like. Are they all...violent?

[He rubbed his neck, wincing. He knew what old army guys were like. Ow.]

Well, er. Not violent, really, although most everyone here is a bit. Snippy. Considering the situation.

[He pauses for a second before hesitantrly sitting down beside Jack, a bit wary of how awefully cheery the guy is. A bit worrying, really.]

Ah, I'm Phoenix. Phoenix Wright. [He grins anyway, though, and holds out a hand for Jack to shake.]

[Jack looks like he's tasted something kind of sour but quickly shakes it off when he notices Phoenix's Pokemon. He flips the Poke'Gear open to learn more about them. Edgar seems more interested in Phoenix though. She narrows one eye at him at a time, trying to figure out if the lawyer is going to flying tackle her master or not. >8c!]

Good to meet you, Phoenix! How long have you been in Pokemon Town?

[He gladly accepts the shake with one of his own spidery hands.]

I was sort of curious about how everyone else ended up here. I've been watching the feed and there seems to be more confused people every day.

Yeah, no kidding. This whole place is nuts. As for how I got here, it's not to exciting. Was walking out of the hospital and bam, here I was.

Nuts is a good word for it. It's way too colorful for me. I think I was hiding out in one of the back office rooms pretending not to be there and fell asleep.
