You've got an interesting art style. Somewhat like Western art, somewhat like anime, but with an interesting stylization and good proportions. Not quite to my taste, but it is good. :) (Yes, I've been spending too much time on dA, why do you ask?) And you can write creatively. Really.
Yeah, bursting appendix would be pretty bad. I … cut my chin open and got stitches? Not nearly as bad. For instance, I keep forgetting that happened.
Aww, thanks. :) I started off in anime drawing (well, actually I started off drawing Sonic the Hedgehog, but that never really manifested... though I must say, my Sonic drawings (copies though they are) at 11 are much better than my Sailormoon drawings (also copies) at 13/14. I had... trouble... drawing humans.). Since I learned to draw through anime, my style's still influenced by it... though I've shifted a bit into drawing semi-realistically (very semi, lol). I also do purely realistic drawings, though. Anyway, my trouble is partly thinking up stuff to draw, and partly following through - I have a really hard time sometimes trying to articulate on paper what's in my head, even if it's a simple pose - trying to get the emotion and atmosphere is the hard part. But anyway, yeah, thanks. :)
The appendix was pretty messed up, yeah... I had a lot of pain one night but thought it was just food poisoning or something because it didn't fit the normal symptoms of a burst appendix, and didn't realize until three weeks later that it had
( ... )
I kind of figured you had. There's a certain feel to people who first drew anime, and I do remember you mentioning the love of anime a few times. I've seen your realistic stuff too, and while it's not perfect, it's getting a lot closer than I could get. :)
Oooh, yeah, that does sound messed. I'm glad you managed to get through it, though, and that it got noticed. Stupid UBC doctor indeed…

Haha! Yes! Another comment!
Yeah, I think the dislike of physical activity is a very geeky thing in general, though that's not necessarily an indicator. I know a geek, who would call herself that but is, on a college sports team.
I think I'd rather the question game. It's less nerve-wracking.
Why is having a toy poodle unfortunate?

I'm a bit taken aback that you saw me as a prodigy, though. That just seems too flattering, somehow. ^^
