But first, good news! I finally have the care package! It's been sitting at the post office since last week, but the parcel slip never made it to my mailbox. Stupid Canada Post. Grr.
*blinks* Gah! Deja vu! I just know I've done this one before. Oh well, here we go again. (I never used to have a portable music device, either. (and I wish everyone would stop assuming everyone else has one, too. Before I had the iPod, people at school would ask "What kind of MP3 do you have?" for lack of better conversation. *rolls eyes*
Lol I have too, on dA, but it's been a while and I figured what the heck. I think pretty much everyone in our circle(s) has done this by now, actually. It's been circulating long enough. ;)
I wish everyone would stop assuming the portable music device thing too. iPods may be cool and in and hip, but that doesn't mean I need or want on. I'm perfectly fine with the music in my head. XD That's about the worse conversation opener I've heard of, though.
(Just for reference, how do you hide part of the post so the person has to click into the comments to see the full thing?)
Yeah... huh, how many years do you think it's gone for?
I know it is, and I got seriously ticked off when I got asked. (several times) Twice from the same person, too. Honestly. *rolls eyes* I didn't want an iPod because it was cool and in and hip though; I just wanted one so I could listen to music without lugging my laptop around. (Heh. Have fun with the mental music, though. XD)
(When you go to the posting page, and are in the rich text format part of it, there's all these icons up above the text box, right? Well, right between the poll icon and the table icon is an icon that looks like a bunch of lines and a heart monitor. That's the "lj cut" icon. You highlight whatever you want hidden, then you click on that icon and type in what you want the cut to be called. ^^)
At least a year and a half, I'd say.
See, I've never really felt that need to have music in my ears all the time. I like listening to non-music too. ;) The mental music is indeed fun, although it sometimes makes me want to dance in the middle of the sidewalk. Especially if it's "Singing in the Rain" and I have my umbrella out. Heheh.
