you should rise the burette with the titrating sol'n BEFORE you dispense it into the titrant. You are poisoning the burette with something else because you are changing the concentration to somethin UNKNOWN. If what was in it before was the solution of intrest then you do not change the concentration :):):) does this answer your question??
