Tough one.

Would you rather:

Win some jackpot in Vegas
or
Save some life in Africa?

The some's are total variables - you don't know how much or whose life until after you choose.

Also, some is a word, that when typed too many times, looks weird.

Without any other information I would probably go with saving lives.... Now if there was a guaranteed large amount of money I would very possibly go for the money...

well that's just it! you aren't guaranteed a large amount, but what if you were saving a murderer?
eh? eh?

I have to go with the jackpot. I can save a kid’s life in Africa for 30 cents a day, or at least that’s what the TV told me. I would expect the jackpot to be somewhat large as it’s a “jackpot”, so I could probably save a lot of lives with it. “Some” life in Africa could mean letting millions of people die so a bunch of mosquitoes can live.

true, i could give half my jackpot to sally struthers. but it's interesting how you read the question. I took "some life" to mean one life, but you don't know whose. a mother of six or a poacher. you took it as a plural. hmm...
