Yes, your entire team was pretty much an OOG and IG "unknown" to me. So whatever inspired the Salon to drop an invite to Rune was a pleasant surprise. :)
Now with the Aether much more of a present in the mortal world, we all (and not just Lostwooders) have ample opportunity to do some "fieldwork."
Took a look at your LJ, and realized what a small-small world this was. Are you going to Pennsic this year? If so, you should stop by O'Choda and visit with Ashura, Valacar and I and others.
