train cars in Ekaterinburg also had tv screens - and the subway system there is all of 7 stations long, all of them in a straight line. They showed ads, horoscopes, and cartoons. I kinda liked the cartoons.
There were also ticker-tape things in trams, with text ads, celebrity news, jokes, and horoscopes. They had some fabulously misplaced ads there (like for apartments in elite housing units).
...but what's wrong with tv screens in train cars? They are a vital means of knowing stuff like tomorrow's weather, what station you are nearing, your horoscope, if there are delays in any of the other lines because someone jumped the tracks.
or do they show dramas, by which you want to stay on for another stop just so you know what happens next?
