I find this story fascinating so far, I have a lot of questions so far but I know that you will reveal them as the story goes. One of the things that are making my mind reel is the elevator... in this story. There is a book I've been wanting to read called the fountains of paradise that has an elevator to the space station.

Without knowing any context of the story that you are inspired by I am still so curious about this story. I definitely want to know more.
