I am now a Master of Science.  Hooray!  Don't ask me about the graduation speeches, though, I could not hear them.  The only way we could tell that the speakers said something funny was the people in the stands started laughing--there was a terrible echo for those of us on the ground (i.e., the graduates) making it impossible to make anything out ( Read more... )

And I've been reading a book based on a sociology study, and a (probably painful) footnote reminded me of your project: something like, "The interview of one subject did not record, and the recording of another subject ended when I had to flip the tape."

Yes, that does sound familiar....

I do like the faculty and deans outfits, actually, they get better hats and sleeves. Masters...meh. And I was totally disappointed that the hood was not wearable as a hood. Clearly I have to get another degree.
