It's true that the risks of certain syndromes and birth defects increase as a woman ages - Down's Syndrome is the classic example and the reason most pregnant women over 35 get an amniocentisis. That does not mean, however, that you can not pursue motherhood thru artificial insemination. That they don't want egg donors over 31 simply means that you're going to have to be the pregnant one if you want to pass on your genes. I have read no studies on age and fertility drugs, but it is also true that women become less fertile as they age (see also menopause - it's perfectly normal). With fewer eggs remaining in the ovaries waiting to be stimulated, the drugs that stimulate the release of ova are less likely to work. That doesn't mean they don't work, just that they don't work as well. Again, no reason you can't have a child. There's no reason to be depressed - at least not because some fertility clinic doesn't want your eggs - do you really want your child to be raised by someone else, about whom you know nothing?

I think you might recall me saying one time every clinic I went to wouldn't take my sperm because I was too short. You know, you get your ego bruised when that happens.
