Great summary - thank you!

And Dominic does appear briefly in the assembled-masses-at-Parliament scene at the end, taking off his Guy Fawkes mask along with everyone else. So he's not only joined the crowds who (illegally) defied the curfew and the army, but it's strongly suggesting that he's now fighting the good fight.

I watched the film for the first time last weekend. I liked the way Dominic did move from believing in the Establishment to joining ranks with the opposition at the end. I thought the move was done very well and that he was shown as an "intelligent copper" who yes, does this by the book, but it means that his investigation into the corruption is thorough.

Thanks for the review! I actually saw the film when it was first released, but I wasn't a Rupert Graves fan back then so I only had a vague memory of Dominic. Even watching a V for Vendetta songvid only brought so much back. *g* Anywaaaaaay, it was great to read your summary and be reminded of the major plot points and Dominic's role in the film. While Rupert Graves's role might not be large or pivotal, I think the film is worth re-watching. Luckily, my brother has the DVD, so I can borrow it from him.

I always liked how Dominic went from one side to the other rather subtly, even though I did have to explain and point it out to my friends I saw the film with.
