Akiha had a notebook in hand and a pen over her ear as she walked through the ruins. She needed to get someplace where she was pretty sure Kris wouldn't just pop over to bother her for what she was planning on doing. She didn't need the magician to catch sight of what she was working on. it would lead to questions she didn't want to answer.
So the ruins were quiet and out of the way. Akiha thought it the best spot and, not always being the most observant, didn't notice the sprigs of mistletoe growing nearby. She sat down on some rubble and leaned against the wall and opened up her notebook...
Since Sanae had come to the gardens, the ruins particular spiritual signature had resonated with her, allowing her to pray more peacefully than elsewhere in the area. Even at Reimu's shrine, this place was preferable. So it was no wonder, after all the nonsense she'd been through lately, she would come there to sort out her head...
"Oh Suwako-sama... What should I do?" she whispered to herself, plopping down at the very same rubble that Akiha was sitting at opposite of her. She hadn't even realized the other girl was there...
Even focused on her writing as she was, Akiha noticed when someone sat down across from her if only because it altered her light. She froze for a second, eyes wide as if she'd been caught doing something bad, before she bit her bottom lip and looked up.
Sanae. Akiha frowned and turned her attention back to her notebook.
"Go pray somewhere else. You might find faith there as you certainly won't here," she murmured, resolute in the fact that she was there first and therefore the shrine maiden should be the one to leave.
Wait, what? Sanae looked around for a bit and... How had she not noticed the other girl being there? She must have had her head in the clouds... Though, given their last conversation, Sanae was in no mood to bend to Akiha's usual attitude.
"Rude. You can go somewhere else, too. I shouldn't be the one doing what YOU want."
It just never stops. Sanae had been doing her own chores when she stopped hearing the broom. Considering Reimu usually swept as an idle activity, she wondered curiously just what would cause her to suddenly stop like that. She went around the corner to find the other miko staring at... those...

Nue was bored.
This was not a particularly notable turn of events, or at least not anymore. She was living with two shrine maidens, after all. This meant she was on her best behavior at all times, and, let's be honest here, being on one's best behavior is frequently boring.
But Nue couldn't suffer her boredom quietly. Instead, she was making a big production of sitting at one of the windows and staring out at the Gardens beyond with an effected sort of ennui. She heaved a rather pronounced sigh, and then- Hey, what was that? Hanging on the outside of the window? She was pretty sure there hadn't been a plant there before, so she's just going to open the window up and stick her head out to examine it more closely. It's not anything she recognizes, so...
Considering what had happened earlier, Sanae decided to investigate against her better judgement. It was as if the very possibility that it could have been something that would no doubt turn awkward didn't even occur to her. This is life with Sanae. And these are her choices.
"What is it?" Sanae chimed in, squeezing in beside Nue.
As Sanae wedged herself in beside her, Nue twisted, reaching up to yank at one of the mystery plant's leaves. Weirdly, the plant didn't seem to be at any risk of being plucked apart by that tug, which just made Nue all the more suspicious. Already, she was jumping to all kinds of conclusions about it- It had certainly grown quickly, so what if its super-fast growth continued until it covered every surface of the shrine?! Its vines could block off all the doors and windows and then they'd be stuck inside and...
Wait, no, that was stupid. And really, what purpose would that serve? So, rather than voice these concerns, she asked instead, "Was this here before?"
Oh no. Oh no. It was THAT thing. Again. Sanae's expression immediately turned beat red and she tried to hide her face. Why? Why of all times with Nue? This wasn't good. No good at all.
[ The location doesn't matter much, because wherever the shrine maiden had been walking at the time, she'll have a guest calling out from above. ] Sanae! [ And with a dip in her Wing Road, Subaru rides on down and skids to a halt in front of her friend, cloth of her Barrier Jacket whipping in the wind from her movements.
Why no, she doesn't feel awkward at all; not after her talk with Katina the other day. ] Um.... hi! How are you?
Oh! Want some help? I could carry them. [ Someone seems eager to assist, but it's just because getting right to the heart of the matter isn't the easiest in this case. ]
As concievably early as possible (Outside the Library)doihavepantiesDecember 12 2011, 13:30:20 UTC
Once again, Suruga's plans on reading whatever porn the library had to offer had been foiled by... bears. It wasn't so much aggravating as it was disappointing. She really wanted to see the kind of selection available at the library, though she was confident that it wouldn't be any wilder than the magazines and new issues she bought every month. Still, it was important to know what was available so that she could properly compare, and make suggestions on how to improve upon it.
"Tomorrow is another day, I'll just try again." It would take more than bears and repeated failures to break Suruga's determination.
Sanae, of course, wasn't aiming for the bear section. She just wanted to see what manga the library to offer. Nor was she really watching where she was going. She needed a distraction, and her head was already full of conflicting thoughts.
"Ah Sanae-chan, it's good to see you!" She gave the other girl a smile and a wave. "What brought you over to the library?" Of course, she had already come up with her own answer. "Could it be that you were looking for a compelling love story?"
Sanae returned the gesture, giving a bow as well. "Oh, nothing like that, though I hear I'll be hardpressed not to. I was mostly just looking for something to distract myself with."

As she was sweeping she noticed that some new plants were growing on the gates. She looked up, wondering what they were.
