So the robots were pretty much trashing everything, but they hadn't ever touched her, or even looked at her the wrong way. Maybe her weapons training with Larry had given her a boost of confidence she hadn't realized, or perhaps she had grown desensitized to the shenanigans of the Garden. Either way, she wasn't overly concerned this time. She wasn't freaking out, she wasn't whining to go home, just carrying on. Santana was actually pretty proud of herself.

No amount of time, however, could make Paderau less weird. Santana watched for a moment, hesitant to step closer, out of the possibility that her intrusion would shatter the moment and send the robots into a frenzy. She did step in, eventually, the words she offered as disbelieving as always.

"Are they really listening to you?"

For what it was worth, Paderau was pretty proud of Santana for being so calm too. She wasn't happy about the intense reactions of some of the others, wanted to be out protecting the hapless bots getting blown to bits for reasons they didn't really seem to understand. She only had so many hands, though. She had a few helpers wandering around, but they sure as Hell weren't wardens.

Still, Santana wasn't on that list of helpers, and Paderau didn't go out of her way to push herself into the girl's face on a normal day.

"I sure hope so," she answered. There wasn't as much mirth in her tone, no lazy heat and amusement; all that had been replaced with focus and intensity. "They hear me, anyway. I'm not convinced they really have our language down though."

She spent a moment longer with the group of robots, stopping a tiny one from rolling its way into a foxhole. She turned to look at the girl though.

"You doin' okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Unlike most of the people here, I'm not a moron, so I don't punch robots, so they're not attacking me."

Still, it was kind of strange to see them so...complacent. What was she, the robot whisperer?

She smiled a bit ruefully. She wouldn't call the other girls morons.

"The restraint is admirable." She means that, although that might be quite clear from her distracted tone of voice. "Pretty sure if you keep that up, you'll make it out without a scratch, hon."
