To Clare, it might have been seven years, but for Jean, it had been mere moments, really. She could remember the moment vividly, warning Clare to protect Flora, the feel of her body being torn open, using the last of her energy to save Clare.

In the end, she had given Clare back the life she had saved, and now she was... At the beginning again? Jean frowned slightly, unsure of what to make of this situation, and part of her had to wonder if maybe this wasn't a hallucination brought on by her death closing in on her. If it were, it was one she was not going to object to.

Hearing Clare's voice, Jean turned. She hadn't felt her approach, but that was something to worry about later. "I am over here, Clare," she said even as she began to walk in the direction of the other woman's voice.
