Date: Starting Thursday, March 24th and continuing until Tuesday, March 29th.
Summary: The Queen is trapped in the Labyrinth, along with her promises of home. What's to be done but go and find her?
Warnings: Creepiness tailored to the characters.

[Utena finds it difficult to adjust to the darkness, but the light in her hands guides her way as she navigates, slowly and surely, throughout the maze. This place makes her uneasy, but she is determined to find the Queen, to rescue her, not only because she wants to go home--needs to, to save Anthy, but because, to her, the Queen is not cruel. Confused and misguided, but not cruel, and certainly undeserving of such a punishment. So, after little thought about it, she decided to go into the Labyrinth. It was not in her nature to sit idly while someone could be in danger. She's not completely reckless, however, and has gone with Mahalia, after the latter's insistence.

Utena would rather not put her in any undue danger, but it only makes her resolve to do her very best to keep her safe.

She glances back and whispers:] Say, Mahalia, are you okay? Do you want to hold my hand?

[Utena's posture relaxes slightly when she sees the other woman, her expression is obviously relieved.] Geez, you scared us! Oi, I thought you were a monster or something like that.

[She inclines her head slightly.] Mahalia's right. It's safer in a group.

[Kenshin slowly lets her hand fall from the sword's hilt. She raised her chin a bit to Utena's commentary. There were so many from Kyoto who would claim the group was standing in the presence of a demon, the girl probably had no idea how close to right she was.]

[She nodded herself.]

I would not disagree.

[And she would not voice her thought that they didn't appear--at least to her--prepared to be out there.]

[Mahalia smiles, stepping out from behind Utena, dipping her head politely.]

My name is Mahalia.

[She looks back into the gloom where Kenshin had come from, then down another turning.]

If you didn't find anything down there, then we should maybe go the other way, instead.

[It sounds more like a question, really, and she looks to the others for approval. She isn't suited to leading the party, and she knows it, but she doesn't think that should stop her making suggestions.]
