[The Vine cuts on to the sound of screaming. The voice may seem unfamiliar to some, but just who's in trouble is confirmed when she stumbles into view of the mirror: Fate T. Harlaown is currently hunched over, and one look at her is enough to tell that something is Very Wrong

[This is the sort of thing that is questionably an emergency in this strange place, but since it's clearly happening to Testarossa of all people, it deserves an immediate response.]

[Therefore, Signum flying in with a very concerned look, after attempts at pinging Fate on the vine failed.]

Testarossa, are you alright?

[Fate snorts. Her voice seems a little rougher than usual, and... well. There's no hint of the usual kindness in it.]

Does it look like I'm alright?

[Signum decides she much preferred the cat ears. She tries to stay calm, since the girl was obviously not herself.]

Well, what happened, then?

How am I supposed to know? One minute I'm just fine, the next... I look like this!

[Nanoha... has probably never heard Fate talk to her like that. Not even when they were kids and fighting each other.]

[With a hmph, Fate turns away without answering either of Nanoha's questions. Seems like she doesn't want to deal with any others right now, so Nanoha will have to track her down on her own.]

OI! FATE! You better answer on the frickin vine before I come bash your door down! I'm givin' you one more chance, ya hear me?!

[ Because Vita is also on her way, very worried and upset about her concerned calls being ignored. ]

[And Vita's another one that will get no reply. Fate's not anywhere in the building the group has been staying in, either, so she'll have to go track her down.

Luckily, she's just somewhere in the main area of the Gardens, so it shouldn't take too long to find her.]

[Something with wings shaped like those of an angel, but made from some unpleasant, leathery grey material lands heavily next to Fate. It's Teresa, her face bulging with veins, her eyes slitted and silver.]

[If Fate was surprised at Teresa's change, she certainly didn't show it. She's definitely not happy to see her, though, judging by how her claws curl and uncurl as she growls.]
