[The Vine's mirror-like screens show a certain girl with a very, very frustrated look upon her face.]

Can someone here please explain how to get these infuriating--

Funny, I've mentioned being a knight several times, but they haven't set me up against any dragons or rosebushes...I suppose royalty is more serious.

My guess is that they don't have any dragons available.

Yet.

I generally do try to avoid the intelligent animals here. It's tough to tell how much they're here to wait on us and how much they're here to keep tabs on us.

Considering this 'Vine' is everywhere as-is and I doubt we know just what the Queen and her servants can do with it, I doubt any sort of privacy will be possible here.

That does seem pretty annoying. I'd say keep them busy doing other stuff for you.

They don't seem capable of doing anything but inane things. I do not want or need animals to put on my clothes for me.

Well, it worked on the people I had the misfortune to serve with. They weren't much different, really.

Hmm, I do suppose they could be a decent replacement for my servants. Assuming they ARE capable of learning.

[ Here, have another bird!

She makes a little sound, like she's indignant, and tilts her head as she watches the blue fire - it's not that she is afraid of fire, that would be preposterous, but she is aware not all birds are phoenixes. ]

You shouldn't do that, no, no!

Wonderful, one that can talk. Tell your little friends that I don't need their 'help'.

Now now, chica. Don't get too testy with the animals.

If they have any sense of self-preservation, they'll leave me alone and giv e me no reason to become 'testy'.

The animals here don't seem to have any, if I can remember.

True. A lack of fear breeds stupidity and complacency in humans, no surprise the same is true for beasts.
